As a nationally recognized expert in Aging In Place design and Universal Design, I partner with residential and commercial builders and remodelers on projects for adults 55 and over. I bring specialized knowledge of how vision, balance, strength, mobility, and cognition change with age, and how to design ahead of those changes, without adding a medical or institutional look to the finished home.
The Need Has Never Been Greater.
Most homeowners want to age in their own home, yet 97% of U.S. homes are not designed or built to support aging in place, according to a Harvard Housing study. Baby Boomers are now driving that demand. At the same time, the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC) forecasts a shortage of approximately 806,000 senior housing units at a time when construction is at its lowest level in years. Builders would need to triple today’s construction pace to close the gap. So the fallback of moving to a senior living community may not be an option for many homeowners. A home designed and built to preserve independence and accommodate future needs, as they change, is what allows homeowners to keep living in the home they love instead.

Aging in Place Plan Review
Before you break ground or start demo, I review your architectural or remodel plans and flag opportunities to improve safety, accessibility, and long-term livability. You’ll receive clear, practical recommendations, room by room, that fit your existing design and your client’s needs.
Consulting
I work alongside your team throughout the project as a specialized consultant, advising on product selection, code considerations, and design details that support aging in place. You keep control of the project. I bring the expertise your team may not have in-house.
Project Design
For builders or homeowners considering a new build or remodel, I provide complete interior design services, from floor plans to design concepts, finishes and fixtures selection and colorization through installation. Every design is functional, safety-minded, and beautifully finished, so the home never looks or feels clinical.

Since 2013, I have earned over 50 international, national, and regional design excellence awards for luxury residential and aging in place design, including the National Association of Home Builders’ (NAHB) Best in American Living 2025 Best Remodel for Aging in Place.
I was also named a 2026 Best of Design by Modern Luxury and a 2022 Top Arizona Designer by Iconic Life.
